The Preacher’s Wife

1996

Touchstone Pictures & Samuel Goldwyn Company

Directed by Penny Marshall

Starring Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston

Merv produced and arranged all of Whitney’s performances in this hit film. He also wrote the lyrics and music for the movie’s featured song, “Who Would Imagine A King?”. He also appears in the film as the pianist in the jazz club “Jazzy’s.”
